FAQ

Note 01

How do I take my measurements accurately at home?HT-01

We send a detailed measurement guide when you start a commission. It covers underbust, bust, hip, torso length and cup projection using a soft tape measure. If you are unsure about any measurement, a video call is the right place to go through it together, so we can walk you through the process in real time.

Note 02

Do I need to visit Yokote for a fitting?HT-02

No. The entire process can be done remotely. You fill in the measurement form, we draft the pattern, and we discuss the toile over video. If you would rather come to the atelier in Yokote, Akita, that is possible by appointment arranged by email.

Note 03

What happens if the finished piece does not fit correctly?HT-03

Any adjustment round is agreed in writing before work starts, so you know in advance what is covered. If something is not right after the first fitting review, tell us and we will go through the options together before anything is cut again.

Note 04

How do I pay, and when is payment due?HT-04

Payment terms are agreed in writing before work starts: the amount, any deposit and the date the balance is due. Nothing is charged through this website, which has no online checkout, and we ask that you never send card numbers by email.

Note 05

How long does the whole process take from first contact to receiving the piece?HT-05

It depends on the piece and on our current workload, so we give a date range in writing before you commit. The consultation, measurement and toile stages take place inside that window. The toile fitting needs unhurried time, so we do not promise rush commissions.

Note 06

Can you make lingerie for post-surgery or asymmetrical bodies?HT-06

Often, yes. Made-to-measure construction suits asymmetrical cup volumes, post-surgery shapes and rib cage proportions that standard sizing does not cover. Please mention your situation in your first message so we can tell you honestly what is feasible. This is a garment-making service, not medical advice.
