Commercial disclosure

  1. 1.1This page sets out the information a seller in Japan is expected to give about commissions under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions. It applies to made-to-measure lingerie ordered by email, form, telephone or video.
  2. 1.2The website itself has no ordering function. Each commission is agreed in writing between you and Helm Toss before work begins.

Price and additional costs

  1. 3.1The price of each piece is quoted per commission in Japanese yen with consumption tax shown. No price list is published, because the price depends on the piece, the fabric and the amount of pattern work.
  2. 3.2Costs that may be added to the quote are stated in it before you confirm: delivery charges, the cost of special-order fabric and any bank transfer fee charged by your bank.

Payment

  1. 4.1Methods and dates are agreed in writing for each commission: the amount, any deposit and the date the balance is due.
  2. 4.2Nothing is charged through this website, and we ask you never to send card numbers by email.

Delivery

  1. 5.1The expected schedule is given in the written commission summary. It depends on the piece and on the work already in the atelier, and the toile fitting is never rushed to meet a date.
  2. 5.2Finished pieces are sent by courier within Japan. Delivery abroad is discussed case by case.
6.0

Returns, cancellation and defects

  1. 6.1A piece cut to one person's measurements cannot be resold, so it cannot be returned for a change of mind. The commission summary says this before you confirm.
  2. 6.2If a piece has a fault of workmanship or differs from the written agreement, contact us and we will correct it as set out in that summary. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
  3. 6.3If you cancel after cutting has begun, you may be asked to pay for the work and materials already used.
